About Us

We publish books that are proactive to promote reading in the community and school libraries. We also collaborate with librarians, educators, and library and education officials, as well as assist self-publishers by offering full publishing services.

MBLS Publishing was established in January 2011 in Johannesburg, Gauteng. It was initially established to publish work such as:
  • Our books are ideal for storytelling, quiz, spelling bee, reading festivals and other literacy programs.
  • Titles in various series are perfect as readers in the classroom in the classroom, covering a range of fun and exciting topics.

Vision

MBLS Publishing is dedicated to publishing fun story books for children. Our titles contribute to the improvement of literacy and to development. Our prospect for the future is to strive to be one of South Africa’s respected and successful publishers.

Our mission is to provide high quality materials in order to encourage reading within the community and school libraries, and to use as educational tools in the classroom.

The MBLS Team

Manichand Beharilal

Manichand is the author of the highly-acclaimed Thembi and Themba books, as well as other titles published by MBLS Publishing.

He is also a facilitator and motivational speaker of Manichand Beharilal Literary Services.

He is a member of the South African Writer’s Circle, LIASA (Library and Information Association of South Africa), The English Academy of Southern Africa (Associate), ANFASA, the Writers’ Guild of South Africa, and BRAWA.

Thea Wallace

Thea is a freelancer, she specialises in editing, proofreading and translating.

Trishal M Beharilal

Trishal specialises within the fields of directing and finance. He contributes towards the financial sector of MBLS Publishing.

Nishchal M Beharilal

Nishchal specialises in publishing. He is a member of the African Publishers Association.

Reena Beharilal

Reena is in charge of accounts and administration at MBLS Publishing.
